1999 Harley Hardtailed Sportster

Neal from Winfield, Illinois, United States sent us these photographs of his 1999 Hardtailed Sportster Bobber. The engine is an 883cc Harley Evolution Sportster engine.

Neal: "Here is my 1999 883 Sporty Bobber. I got a hold of this bike from a friend that originaly bought it for his wife. She couldn't hold the bike up when she would come to a stop sign, so after a few times of picking the bike up off its side he sold it to me."

Neal: "I stripped everything off of it that was of no use. The front turn signals got relocated to the fork tubes and were replaced with smaller ones off a 100 aniversary fat boy with smoked lenses. The rear fender got a new hair cut and repainted and aftermarket bullet turn signals were added in the rear. I added a side mount license plate holder with a 1928 Ford tail light."

Neal: "The Stock air intake "ham can" was replaced with a forcewinder intake and a set of drag pipes with Black Wrap on them."

Neal: "Put forward controls on with after market knurled pegs and matching grips. A flush mount gas cap was added to streamline the tank. Yellow Screaming Eagle plug wires were added. The stock mirrors were taken off and only the left side was replaced with a stock Fatboy mirror hung upside down."

Hardtailed Sportster

Neal: "Threw the rear shocks in the garbage and replaced them with black powdercoated struts. The stock seat was replaced with a Bates - style solo seat with 2in springs."
