2003 Sportster Springer Bobber
Walter from Hollywood, Florida, United States made available to us these photographs of his good lookin' 2003 Harley Sportster Springer Bobber.
Walter: "This is my bike, a 2003 100th Anniversary Sportster 883 converted to 1203cc using Buell XB heads, Buell XB pistons and NRHS bored 2005 XL cylinders. N4 Cams, Mikuni 42mm carb, NRHS Hurricane breather, Dyna 2000 nose cone programmable ignition module, DC5 single fire coil set up, Pingle high flow petcock, SuperTrapp two into one exhaust.
DNA 2" Chrome Springer front end, 21" x 3.25" front wheel and tire, Metzler 140x16" rear tire."
Walter: "I am a local Hollywood, Florida graphic artist and website designer and I bartered my work to some local shops to get the engine built once I had all the parts collected and re-worked and ready to go one the bike. I wanted the engine to basically be a stock Buell motor so that I could wheel it into any HD dealer anywhere and it could be fixed with off the shelf parts if necessary.
So the bike rips nearly as hard as a stock XB right now and as I scrape and save - it gets faster and faster. The bike runs like rocket powered locomotive and pulls very hard right from idle. Tons of torque."
Walter: "As far as the chassis, I retained the suspended rear and swapped out the telescopic forks for a nice chrome Springer."
